The Wisconsin International Resource Consortium (WIRC) is a collaboration among the nine UW-Madison Area Studies Centers with the mission to provide internationally themed outreach programming, resources, and support to K-14 teachers and students, Minority Serving Institutions (MSI), and community colleges.
WIRC efforts and initiatives are an extension of the Global Wisconsin Idea. See all 9 consortium members under the “Members” tab on the menu bar.

In celebration of International Education Week 2025, WIRC staff held a virtual open house to provide a brief tour of our nine area studies centers’ education outreach resources and share the ways we’re working to bring the world into Wisconsin classrooms and libraries.
